Introduction – Sea API Portal

The Sea API Portal is the central access point for Sea’s customer-facing maritime APIs.
It allows customers to discover API products, authenticate once, and seamlessly integrate Sea data into their own applications and internal systems.

Built for enterprise-grade performance, the portal supports secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange across Sea’s digital ecosystem — enabling customers to automate workflows, improve data consistency, and accelerate decision-making.

Through the Sea API Portal, customers can access a growing suite of APIs covering charter-party intelligence, voyage emissions, and carbon reporting, with additional products introduced over time.

Users can generate API subscription keys per product. The generated key can be used in the Try It Out feature to authenticate API requests and receive responses.

Platform Capabilities

The Sea API Portal is designed to meet modern integration needs and provides:

  • Single authentication – one login across all Sea API products

  • High availability – 24/7 access, 365 days a year

  • Scalability – built to support increasing data and request volumes

  • Secure access control – subscription- and entitlement-based access

Customers can confidently use the portal to embed Sea’s data directly into operational, analytical, and compliance workflows.

API Products Overview

Carbon API

The Sea Carbon API provides programmatic access to Sea’s voyage-level carbon and emissions intelligence and is exclusively available to customers subscribed to the Sea Carbon Platform.

It supports the full carbon data lifecycle:

  • Inbound: Submit voyage and operational data into Sea

  • Outbound: Retrieve validated and calculated emissions datapoints

The Carbon API enables customers to integrate Sea’s carbon calculations into internal reporting systems, analytics platforms, and regulatory workflows (including IMO-related processes), ensuring Sea remains a single source of truth for emissions data.

Charter Party Data API

The Sea Charter Party Data API provides structured access to voyage charter contract data created in Sea Contracts and Recap Manager.

Key capabilities include:

  • Availability for voyage charter CPs created in Sea

  • Separate endpoints for dry and wet charter parties

  • JSON-based summary data, aligned with Sea UI search views

  • Ability to filter by CP date and sort results

  • Access to fully fixed voyage CPs via CP ID (one at a time)

  • LLM-powered extraction to convert CP free text into a strongly typed, consistent JSON schema

This API allows customers to automate contract data ingestion, reduce manual interpretation, and integrate CP intelligence directly into downstream systems.

More APIs Coming Soon

Additional Sea API products will be made available through the Sea API Portal as they are released.

With the Sea API Portal, customers gain a single, secure gateway to Sea’s maritime intelligence — enabling automation, transparency, and compliance across contracts, voyages, and carbon reporting.
